My intentions are to construct a community information center that will also offer a free pop-up library as well as a food pantry. This will consist of an enclosed bulletin board for community events and another portion for personal events. The other side will have the pop-up library and food pantry boxes.
The pop-up library will contain books that both adults as well as youth can read. People of the community can exchange books at their leisure. Next to the library will be the food pantry. This will operate on the honor system (take an item put one back).
First I will construct the structure out of treated lumber and steel siding in order to make it maintenance free and long lasting. The next step will be to erect the structure on the Olive Fire Protection District property located at 422 Nicholls St, Livingston, IL 62058.
There the project will have a concrete walk-way up to as well as around the project to allow easy access to both sides of the structure for anyone in the community.
To finish the project off, I will be landscaping under the structure.
